In one word, our approach is relationship oriented. We
consciously differentiate ourselves from our competitors who
tend to be ‘deal’ oriented.
We spend time with our clients to understand their business
model and strategic requirements that may be either an
acquisition, joint venture or capital raising.
Understanding the business model is critical for us because
only then we can add value.
If the strategic plan identifies the need to be a M&A
transaction, we identify and represent our client to potential
partners, in India and overseas, and try to consummate a
transaction within the agreed parameters. Our attempt is to
ensure that the deal creates long-term value for our client.
If the strategic plan identifies the need to be capital
raising, we agree with our client on the need and amount of
capital to be raised. We work on preparing the valuation
report and an information memorandum. Meanwhile, we also start
talking to potential investors who fit the requirement of our
client. Our focus on choosing the investor is to get a
long-term partner rather than a pure financial investor.
